Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Provide guidance and leadership to all assigned personnel and is responsible for coordinating work assignments and setting up priorities. Ensures all work is performed in a safe and reliable manner and in accordance with appropriate technical data, GMM and applicable FAR's. Directs and controls all shift turnovers in cooperation with the Team Leaders and keeps the Regional Manager advised of any AOG, interruptions and potential flight delays Communicates with Maintenance Operational Control (MOC) as required during the course of their shift and provides updates and status as events unfold. Participates in daily conference call and provides clear and concise status reports of all work performed on assigned aircraft. Indentify barriers to operating efficiently in the daily process; resolving those within their capability, and communicating to management those where additional assistance is required.Plan, assign and routinely follow up on work assignmentsCommunicate and implement Allegiant goals and objectivesHolds themselves and assigned personnel directly accountable for achievement of station goals, objectives and projects.Ensures all work is performed in a safe, efficient manner & in accordance with company manuals and directives, manufacturer's manuals & FAA requirementsEnsures that a detailed turnover for all jobs in progress is maintained and communicated during shift changeAudits parts requests for completeness and accuracy. Ensures considerations are given to alternative parts i.e. pre/post service bulletin, assemblies, sub-assemblies or alternate partsEstablishes and encourages an environment of Continuous ImprovementEnsure that parts, serviceable and unserviceable, are returned to Stores and segregated as required.Assists with materials management as directedAuthorizes the use of budgeted overtime when necessary and is accountable for variance explanations to the regional managerKeeps the Regional Manager of Maintenance apprised of problems and issues concerning shortages or deficiencies with schedule, manpower, parts, tooling that could result in work delays and out of service airplanesMaintains shop work area, ground support equipment and tooling in a clean, safe and good condition at all times and facilitates repairs as necessary.Orders all necessary office supplies. such as printer/copy paper, toner, ink cartridges, fills out new employee request forms for computer access, orders uniforms and fills out time cards as requiredMonitors expendables and free stock for appropriate levelsOther duties as specified by the Regional Manager of Maintenance or DOMREPORTS TO Regional Maintenance ManagerSUPERVISES Team Leaders/MechanicsINTERACTIONS Maintenance Control/Maintenance Planning/Quality/Flight Operations/Material Services/Maintenance Managers/Regional Managers.Education High School diploma or equivalent; College degree preferred; A&P Certificate program or equivalent; A&P licenseSecurity Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug screenMust have authorization to work in the U.S. as defined in the Immigrations Act of 1986Experience 5 years in aviation maintenance, Heavy Transport category. 2 Years in a leadership role.Knowledge Troubleshooting skills - Systems/Avionics/PowerplantComputers Windows and MS Office applicationsPosition from which an employee could be promoted into this position Maintenance & Lead Technicians with exceptional experience and demonstrated leadership abilitiesWorking conditions Indoors/Outdoors & Office environmentPhysical demands Lift 50 lbs, able to bend & lift objects, stand and sit for extended period.
